Tal and Perach Lilach decided to go green in their project in to build a community garden in Yeruham. They noticed that Yeruham had large amounts of open abandoned space which was littered with garbage and debris, and at the same time there were few public well kept parks and gardens. They thought that building a garden could be a wonderful way to bring the community together and raise the awareness of recycling and environment. The girls participated in a gardening workshop, met with representatives of the municipality and city council including the mayor, Amram Mizna, and where given a budget of 300,000 shekel. The garden is set to break grown in early July, just in time for the summer months.
