Cleaning operation in Arara

Muhammad Abu Gama’a, Tarik Abu Arar and Muhammad Abu Shuldum, residents on the Bedouin village Arara, were tired of seeing their streets so dirty, and decided to do something to improve the look of the village and the youths’ awareness to the importance of cleaning. They integrated special classes in the schools, and recruited 500 students to a unique cleaning operation, with the help of volunteers from the Ajik organization. The students collected 800 bags of garbage, and in the end of the day gathered in the local soccer field for a closing rally, which included performances of students on the subject of the environment.
